A Place for Puketāpapa – St John’s Church & Community Centre

A fast-growing area that has become the first home for generations of immigrants, Puketāpapa Mt Roskill is a community of youth and diversity. It also has an urgent need for facilities to serve the community. Responding to the community’s needs has long been an important part of St John’s work.

With seismic standards requiring a rebuild of its ageing and much-extended Mt Albert Road church and community hall, St John’s is embarking on a building project that will radically improve the facilities available to the people of Puketāpapa. Building is underway using a Sprung Structure. Check out progress to date
