We are proud to be part of a new wave of building tech coming into New Zealand that at last places affordable facilities in the hands of sport and recreation providers at the club level.
Sprung Systems Ltd (a Canadian Company) has provided us with a canopy across three netball sized courts that is durable, light weight, stands up to earthquake and 300kph wind. It can be both retrofitted as a highly insulated indoor sport facility or demounted and taken away with relative ease.
The membrane has a 25-year life and the aluminum I-beams have a 50-year life. In short it ticks all the boxes and has enabled us to build a facility for less than $2 million dollars and I’m not kidding the structure itself took three weeks to erect on the pre-prepared site!
